ELCO Weekend - 2nd-4th October 2009 - Lincomb Farm

Following on from the success of previous weekends we are returning to Lincomb for another weekend event for the ELCO members and anyone else interested in Toyota Land Cruisers for offroading in the UK or adventurous overlanding trips.
As with all our events the main aim of the weekend is for socialising, a good chance to put faces to names, meet old friends, tell tall stories, etc, however you will also have a good opportunity to go and play in your trucks.
As a family event wives/partners and children are welcome, but don't forget to bring toys, etc to keep the little tikes entertained in the evenings.
The plan is to meet up on the Friday evening and then spend Saturday either Green Laning over in Wales direction or playing on the Lincomb Farm off road coarse and tracks around the farm. There will be a further opportunity to do more Green Laning on the Sunday Morning or use the off road coarse.
Catering
Whilst the more organised amongst you will probably want to bring your own food, we have arranged for some caterers who will provide basic meals on site. The proposed menu is as follows:
- Friday evening meal: chilli, curry, jackets and rice nan breads/garlic bread unlimited tea/coffee £10 head
- Saturday breakfast: sandwich of choice, bacon/sausages/egg, unlimited tea/coffee £5 head
- Saturday lunch: steak baguette onion/mushrooms, unlimited tea/Coffee £6 head
- Saturday tea: pig roast with apple sauce stuffing and gravy unlimited tea and coffee £10 head.
- Sunday breakfast: sandwich of choice, bacon, sausages, egg, unlimited tea/coffee £5 head
- Sunday lunch: steak baguette onion/mushrooms, unlimited tea/Coffee £6 head
- Total weekend costs of £42 head (£40 if all weekend booked)
In addition to providing food on site we can also recommend local pubs and restaurants for those of you that want to eat out.
Alcohol won't be provided, but you can obviously bring your own and the same goes for bringing your own food. If the weather is good plan for a few beers round the camp fire in the evening!
The one thing we do ask you to bring is your own plates and cutlery.
Accomodation
A small field has been set aside for camping with basic facilites (water and a couple of loos) and we are happy to accept anything from caravans, camping trailers, etc.
There are also B&B facilities on site and a number of others local to the site - contact details will provided on request.
Costs
It has been difficult to sort out the pricing to cater for all eventualities so this is what we have come up with:
- Camping per night: £5 per vehicle
- Friday evening meal - £10 head
- Saturday breakfast - £5 head
- Saturday activities: £20 per vehicle (this may change if we end up splitting the days into different sessions)
- Saturday lunch - £6 head
- Saturday supper - £10 head.
- Sunday breakfast - £5 head
- Sunday activities: £20 per vehicle (this may change if we end up splitting the days into different sessions)
- Sunday lunch - £6 head
So, overall you are looking at £50 for camping and use of the off road course/green laning trip and then £40 per person for all meals.
If you are camping on site we will need the camping fees to be paid up front to secure your pitch - you will be provided with the details when you register.
WEATHER!!
Please note that the weekend is totally dependent on the weather - if it is very wet leading up to the weekend we will have to cancel.
